I gave up on deploying this SPP from HP SIM. We've been updating servers locally using HP Smart Update Manager that is included with the SPP. HP SUM 6.0+ is available as a standalone download on HP's website and it has the ability to deploy SPP baselines to remote servers. So we may 'install' HP SUM. Smart Update Manager (SUM) and the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) combine to create the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Smart Update Technology to solve the problem of time-consuming, expensive, and error-prone updates. HP Smart Update Manager (HP SUM) is the HP deployment engine for updating firmware, drivers, agents and configuration tools for HP ProLiant and Integrity servers, HP BladeSystem infrastructure, Moonshot and options.
