Hi, I am evaluate the new Windows 7 build 7100 x64 ultimate version on a HP Compaq 6710b and i can not find the way to make working the fingerprint sensor. I already install the last drivers from Windows Update and also try the last drivers/applications from Authentec Inc. AES2501A but nothing works. We are building a Windows 7 SOE for a large company that supports numerous models of hp laptops. Each of these laptops comes with a fingerprint reader and we would like to use the built in fingerprint reader support (Biometric Devices) that is in windows 7. The models that we are supporting are as follows:

- HP 6930p
- HP 8510w
- HP 8530w

We attempted using the Authentec fingerprint drivers (aes2501a) found on hp's website but after installation, the biometric device option did not appear in windows 7. We contacted HP about the issue and they said we need to use the driver that comes from windows update for this option to appear. After installing the driver from windows update, the biometric device option did appear as hp said. Therefore, due to the way our SOE is built, we require the executable that is the same as that on windows update. Does anyone know where we can find both x64 and x86 packages for this device driver that are the same as the ones found when you go to windows update on these machines running windows 7? Let me know if you require any clarification.
