First, I’d suggest you to uninstall the printer drivers and related software completely.
After uninstalling the software, I’d suggest you to download and install Windows Installer Cleanup Utility tool to remove all the traces of the printer software.
You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
Note: You must be logged on to Windows with a user account that is a computer administrator to run Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.
The recommended resolution for Code 28 is to update the driver.
After running the Cleanup utility, download and install the drivers from the link below:

Install the driver software in administrator mode.
To install the drivers (software) in administrator mode,
1. Locate the program icon, right-click click Run as administrator.
